A Tribute to Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain Shah
By The Voice of Palestine
In the vale where chinars gently sway,
Where the rivers hum ancient songs each day,
Rose a soul from snow and stone,
Syed Adil Hussain Shah — one of Kashmir’s own.
Not in armor, not with pride,
But with heart ablaze, he did not hide.
Amidst the terror, blood, and flame,
He etched forever a noble name.
Terror shattered Pahalgam’s grace,
Bullets rained on that sacred place.
Tourists screamed, children cried,
While innocence and peace slowly died.
Yet one stood tall with defiant breath,
Facing darkness, staring death.
A man of faith, a man of peace,
Who tried to make the madness cease.
The gun he grabbed, not for hate,
But to rewrite a cruel fate.
To save those strangers, scared and near,
Most not of his faith — yet all held dear.
For love knows no border, no sect, no race,
It lives in every selfless face.
And in that moment, brave and raw,
He showed the world what few ever saw.
He fought not with vengeance, but belief,
That Kashmiriyat is rooted in relief.
That to shelter, guard, and give your life
Is greater than all swords or strife.
He fell — a bullet to the head,
But it was courage that he spread.
He died not just a man, but flame,
And millions now echo his name.
Syed Adil — son of snow,
You’ve lit a fire against the foe.
Not of guns, nor hate, nor war,
But of peace this valley shall restore.
The mothers of Palestine weep for you,
The children in Gaza feel it too.
For martyrs are not bound by land,
They rise wherever brave hearts stand.
And you, dear Adil, are more than dust,
Your story lives, your cause is just.
A Muslim, yes, but more than creed —
A man of honor, of selfless deed.
You shielded those who prayed unlike you,
Yet you showed what faith can truly do.
You gave the world a chance to see
The real face of humanity.
So let the tyrants try and spin,
Their TRPs soaked in deadly sin.
But truth will shine like Himalayan snow,
Because of men like you — we know.
Let no one call this just a loss,
For martyrs wear no earthly cross.
They bloom in hearts, in every breath,
And conquer even after death.
Rest in Power, Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain Shah.
Your sacrifice is our strength. Your story is our truth.
This is Kashmiriyat. This is humanity. This is you.
